Kenny Loggins sings school song with Montecito Union students

The rain could not dampen a special Friday Flag assembly at Montecito Union School.

Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins sang the school song with the students who range from kindergarten to sixth grade.

Loggins wrote the school song titled “All Standing Together (We are Montecito Union)” back in the 1980’s when two of his kids attended MUS.

Afterwards he answered several questions from students and told them that he had written over 500 songs in his career.

The Friday Flag gatherings are once a month and are usually outside. But with the rain, the school moved the assembly into the school auditorium and naturally Loggins and the students didn’t miss a beat.
