French star sparkles on the red carpet in Santa Barbara
Isabelle Huppert sparkled on the red carpet at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Huppert has been called the Meryl Streep of France and is an Oscar favorite for her starring role in Paul Verhoeven’s kinky revenge thriller Elle.
Huppert took time out to sign posters for fans and to talk to reporters outside the Arlington Theatre on Wednesday night.
The petite actress wore a gown with the word love across the collar.
She said has vacationed with her family in Santa Barbara before and called it “very chic.”
After Anne Thompson moderated the evening, actor William Hurt presented Huppert with the Montecito Award.
SBIFF will honor Academy Award-winning actor and longtime local Jeff Bridges on Thursday night.
