Free child passenger safety check-up

The California Highway Patrol is hosting a free child passenger safety seat check-up at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

CHP officers will help inspect your child’s safety seat and help you install it correctly. CHP wants the public to know that no citations will be issued, no driver licenses or registrations will be checked. This event is to help families with the safety of their children.

According to CHP, 4 out of 5 child passenger safety seats are installed or adjusted incorrectly.

Everyone is invited to this free community outreach event located at 334 S. Patterson Avenue in the City of Goleta.
