Local mother warns public about sexual predator

Local mother Kisha Jones wants the public to be on the lookout for an alleged sexual predator who traumatized her teenage daughter while they were shopping at the Santa Maria Walmart.

“Some man came up behind my daughter and grabbed her rear end”, Kisha Jones says.

Jones says she was with her 15 year old daughter and her son in front of the Red Box kiosk Thursday morning last week at about 11:30.

“We were just looking at movies and apparently he was standing behind her and he grabbed her rear-end”, Jones says, “she told me, Mom some guy just grabbed my butt and I don’t know who he is, so she pointed him out to me because he was still standing on the outside of Walmart and that’s when I went outside to go chase him.”

Jones says she chased the suspect out into the parking lot.

“He did get away, I called the Santa Maria Police Department, they came out and made a report”, Jones says, “I viewed the footage of him {from the store surveillance cameras) and they said they would pass the picture around the police station and if they see or hear something that they would get back to us and its been eight days and I haven’t heard anything.”

Jones describes the suspect that assaulted her daughter as a white male, in his early 20’s, tall and thin, with dark hair and blue eyes, wearing a v-neck t-shirt and sweat pants and driving off in a newer model, silver-colored Mercedes Benz.

Jones says she’s sharing her ordeal with the public to prevent others from enduring the same crime.

“I feel that creep is still out there and he needs to get caught”, Jones says, “if he was that bold to actually be seen on video leaving Walmart and then come back inside to grab her behind, he’s done it before and he needs to get caught.”

Walmart management declined to comment about the alleged incident involving Kisha Jones and her daughter.

Santa Maria Police say they are investigating the incident.
