Man suffers serious injuries after being stabbed outside of Lompoc bar

Lompoc Police Department is searching for the suspect in a stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning outside of a Lompoc bar.

At around 1:45 a.m., officers received a call about a stabbing at DJ’s Saloon at 724 East Ocean Avenue.

Officers were preoccupied with a homicide investigation that occurred nearby and were initially unable to respond to the call. Lompoc police contacted the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office to assist with the reported stabbing.

Authorities located a 23-year-old man who reportedly got into a fight with another male outside of the bar. During the fight, the 23-year-old man was stabbed and severely wounded.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and is currently wanted by police.

The victim was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center where he was treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
