Santa Barbara Centenarian celebrates 106th birthday
One of the oldest registered voters in Santa Barbara County celebrated her 106th birthday on Thursday.
Phyllis Anderson was honored at residence at Vista Del Monte Retirement Community.
Viewers might remember Anderson when Reporter Vicky Nguyen interviewed her in October. Anderson is the tenth oldest registered voter in the county. The oldest is 116 years old.
A crowd of family members and friends sang and celebrated with Anderson.
She shares her secret to living a happy and healthy life with Vicky.
“Well it’s really just trying to make other people happy because I really like people. If they’re sad or in a doctor’s office or frightened or something, I like to bounce them up a little,” says Anderson.
