Lompoc police looking for suspect in alleged school threat

Lompoc police are looking for 20-year-old Braxton Sloan Smith after him and a friend allegedly threatened a Fillmore School official with bodily harm.

Police say Smith referred to the victim as a “dirty Mexican” while making threats. Smith’s friend, Jasmine Howard was later arrested, but authorities have not yet located Smith.

Smith is described as a black male adult, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 135 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo of a cross on his neck, a tattoo on his right arm that says “Misunderstood”, and a tattoo on his right wrist that reads “AC”.

Lompoc police say Smith is also on active probation for domestic violence.

Anyone with any information regarding Smith’s whereabouts is asked to call the Lompoc Police Department at 805-736-2341, and reference Case No. 1612-0833.
