Pest Control Companies Answer Calls About Ants

The heat wave and drought are impacting ant populations.

Some are invading homes in searching of water.

If Homeowners find ants it doesn’t necessarily mean they are bad housekeepers.

Thirsty ants are showing up in sinks, dish washers, trash cans and food containers.

Santa Barbara Pest Control president Bruce Craig said his company is getting a lot of calls.

Crews are going on about three ant-related calls a day.

His advice is to look for nests outside and use bates to control them.

Craig said ants are a lot like garbage collectors.

If you can’t get rid of them, he said you may want to give your local pest control company a call.
