Chimney Fire Evacuees Look For Hotel Rooms
Families ordered to evacuate on Saturday afternoon had a difficult time finding hotel rooms.
Members of the Valk family were supposed to have a family reunion of sorts at their relatives Oak Shores home, instead they gathered some things and drove toward Paso Robles.
Earlier in the day they enjoyed wine tasking near lake Nacimiento.
David Valk said, “We were able to get back to the home, grab our keys, frantically grab everything, then get out of there..very quickly.”
The Valks are now looking for somewhere to stay for the remainder of their trip.
They seemed confident they would find a safe place to stay out of the line of fire.
