Dunkin’ Donuts Sets Up Shop in Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara now runs on Dunkin’. The Massachusetts-based doughnut chain has been around since 1950 but it has now finally opened its first ever restaurant in Santa Barbara, and the Central Coast for that matter.
The popular restaurant opened its doors on June 7, and two days in, the lines of fans, enthusiasts and the plain curious that have gathered continue to create big lines that shoot out beyond the restaurant’s doors.
Dunkin’ Donuts is banking on its highly popular fresh-brewed coffee, lattes and signature baked goods and sandwiches to drive traffic to its latest location at 3771 State Street.
The restaurant is operated by franchisees BJ Kim, David Ahn and Dante Rizzo. The trio have over 50 years of combined experience with the Dunkin’ Donuts brand, and plan to use that experience to develop at least 10 more Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties over the coming years.
Dunkin’ Donuts Santa Barbara is part of the DD Green Achievement initiative designed by the company to help franchisees create new, sustainable and energy-efficient restaurants. Features include atmospheric LED lights, high-performance windows and low-flow faucets, among other amenities.
Dunkin’ Donuts serves guests seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
