Keith Emerson Inspired Local Prodigy
The music world is mourning the loss of Keith Emerson.
The co-founder of Emerson Lake and Palmer was found dead in his Santa Monica home Friday.
It appears he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
It’s a major loss to a local prodigy inspired by Emerson’s music.
Emerson communicated with Rachel Flowers after hearing her perform.
The blind musician from Oxnard has been profiled on CBS’ 60 Minutes and videos often show her playing Emerson Lake and Palmer music on piano.
The 71 year old is a prominent part of an upcoming documentary called “Rachel Flowers- Hearing is Believing.”
The film is scheduled to premiere in Ventura this June.
