Newly Appointed Police Beat Coordinator Tackles Santa Maria Problems

Santa Maria police officer Jason Zickuhr is the newly appointed Beat Two Coordinator and begins his new assignment immediately.

With a recent wave of violence hitting Santa Maria, the 17-year police veteran says that he’s looking forward to addressing community concerns and problems in the area south of Fesler Street and north of Morrison Avenue, west of Broadway, and north Stowell Road on the east of Broadway.

Officer Zickuhr began his career in law enforcement back in 1998 with the Guadalupe Police Department, and transferred to the Santa Maria Police Department in 2001. He worked nine years as a detective as well as six years as a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team.
