Authorities Search For Inmate Who Walked Away From SLO Camp

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate an inmate who walked away from a daily work program at Camp San Luis Obispo Monday morning.

At about 9:30 a.m., deputies received a report that 35-year-old Adilio Lopez, from Los Angeles and an inmate at the Sheriff’s Honor Farm, had walked away from the camp while on a job assignment. Lopez was being supervised by Camp San Luis Obispo employees at the time.

Lopez was booked into custody on burglary charged back in April. However, authorities do not consider Lopez to be dangerous and say that he has no known history of violence. At this time, there doesn’t appear to be a risk to public safety according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Lopez is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 2 inches tall, and approximately 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing Honor Farm clothing of a blue shirt and blue jeans, and riding a gray BMX bicycle.

If anyone sees Lopez, you are asked to call the SLO County Sheriff’s Office at 805-781-4550.
