Six People Arrested For Probation Violations in Santa Barbara County

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department arrested six people for violation of the terms of their probation in Goleta, Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, Tuesday.

The department contacted more than 20 individuals while serving a compliance operation in South County, resulting in the arrest of six of those individuals from various areas.

Arrests included:

34-year-old Ricardo Romo of Goleta for a parole violation. 25-year-old Morgan Whatley of Santa Barbara for manufacturing a controlled substance. 34-year-old Ignacio Manzo of Santa Barbara for possession of a narcotic controlled substance. 34-year-old Stacy Ibarra of Goleta for possession of drug paraphernalia and a parole violation. 28-year-old Gerardo Martinez of Goleta for theft; appropriation of lost property. 25-year-old Sergio Valencia of Carpinteria for a probation warrant.

Compliance operations are conducted on a regular basis to ensure that individuals are complying with the terms and conditions of their parole, probation or supervision.
