Burglary Suspects Break Into SLO Bank Storage Room
San Luis Obispo police are looking for two suspects who they say broke into a storeroom at Golden 1 Credit Union located at 852 Foothill Boulevard.
Police say the incident occurred on May 15. Officers were contacted when a construction foreman discovered a hole in the drywall leading into the storeroom of the bank.
The investigation revealed that a vacant building directly next to Golden 1 had been used in the burglary because it was under construction, vacant, and openly accessible. Detectives said the suspects made a large hole in the drywall giving them access to the storeroom. They then took off with an undisclosed amount of property.
A security camera in the storeroom managed to capture footage of the suspects before one of them dismantled the camera.
The first suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20’s, with a slim build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a red long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as a white male adult in his mid-20’s, with a stocky build and dark hair pulled into a bun, and a beard. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt with a large amount of colored designs covering the shirt.
Anyone who has information as to the identity of these two suspects is asked to call the San Luis Obispo Police Department at 805-781-7337.
