Ocean Rescue at Surf Beach in Vandenberg

Santa Barbara Fire crews, and other emergency personnel, were on scene at Surf Beach near the Vandenberg Air Force Base for an ocean rescue Friday morning.

The call came in just before 11:30 a.m. The U.S. Coast Guard was notified of the rescue. A helicopter provided air support.

At 11:54 a.m., emergency crews were notified the swimmer had been rescued and brought to shore. The swimmer did not need any medical attention.

Details are limited but we will update this story once more information becomes available.
