13 People Injured In Head-On Collision On Highway 154

Thirteen people were injured, one seriously, in a head-on collision Saturday night on Highway 154 at Roblar Avenue in Los Olivos.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says the driver of a Cadillac turned left into the path of a passenger van.

The driver of the van swerved, but crashed into the Cadillac.

The van careened off the road and overturned.

Seven people were taken to the hospital, including the driver of the Cadillac who suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the Cadillac is a 25-year-old male from Santa Ynez. His identity has not been released.

Five people suffered moderate injuries and one person had minor injuries.

Six others were treated at the scene for minor cuts and bruises.

The westbound lanes of Highway 154 were shut down until crews cleared the wreckage.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
