Ventura Man Arrested For Slicing Girlfriend’s Neck
Kevin Rowe, 29, of Ventura, is in custody for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend’s neck on Friday.
Ventura police arrived at the 3000 block of Central Avenue and found the female victim suffering from a stab wound.
The victim told authorities she and Rowe, her live-in boyfriend, were in an argument when at some point he placed a knife to her neck and threatened to kill her.
Rowe sliced the victim’s neck, but she was able to break free and get to an area of safety until police arrived.
Rowe fled from the scene until he was picked up an hour later by police in the area of Mills Road and E Main Street.
He was booked into Ventura County jail for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, mayhem and domestic violence.
The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was transported to a local hospital where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
