Ameci Pizza in Oxnard off Rose Accused of Tax Fraud

A popular pizza place is being investigated by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.

The owner of Ameci Pizza & Pasta on North Rose Avenue in Oxnard is being investigated for several charges, including tax fraud.

Former employees of Ameci Pizza say their employer paid them “off the books” to avoid paying taxes.

A former employee told us the employer provided a fraudulent W2 that declared only a small percentage of their hours, and left them with no workers compensation benefits.

The owner of the Ameci Pizza on Rose, chose not to comment on the issue.

Officials in the DA’s office say at this point the allegations are being taken seriously and they expect to reach a resolution in the case quickly.
