Los Padres Supervisor’s Office Severely Damaged
Los Padres National Forest Officials announced Tuesday morning that the Supervisor’s Office was severely damaged in the storm that hit Goleta last week.
A significant amount of rain water and mud got into the office rendering it useless. The office will be closed while crews make the necessary repairs, which include tearing out the dry wall in all the areas where water damage occurred among other things.
Employees will be working from nearby Los Padres stations.
Officials want to remind the public that during this closure they should continue to contact the nearest ranger station for recreation opportunities, closures, and other important information.
Officials believe the repairs may be completed by early February.
