Dog Burned in Santa Barbara Propane Tank Explosion
An explosion on the east side of Santa Barbara on Friday morning injured a dog.
The blast was caused by a faulty propane tank inside a camper that stopped on the corner of Gutierrez and Quarantina streets.
The large dog was in the back near the tank when the incident occurred. It had injuries to its face. Santa Barbara City Firefighters gave aid to the dog, including oxygen. It responded well.
The dog is being treated at a nearby pet hospital. Santa Barbara city animal control and fire officials are investigating.
