Three-Peat For Dos Pueblos Team 1717
The Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy won the Los Angeles Regional FIRST Robotics Competition.
This weekend the group of 30 high school seniors took on 64 other teams in Long Beach.
Each group brought in a robot the teens have been working on since January.
This is the third year in a row Team 1717 from Goleta has won the competition. This afternoon’s match was a blow out as The D’Penguineers won 236 to 146.
The Dos Pueblos group also won the coveted Engineering Excellence Award.
The big win earned them a spot at the World Championship in St. Louis, MO from April 23-26.
