Avila Valley Barn host pumpkin patch

Throughout the years, the Avila Valley Barn has brought the Central Coast fruits and vegetables, but with Halloween just days away, pumpkins are the buzz.

The barn has been around since 1985 and it’s still family owned. Every year, farmers grow pumpkins to sell in October. Now it’s the busiest month for the farm, with more than 400 visitors daily.

The barn also has a hay ride and maze that are built and operated by the farmers.

Another reason October is busy is because local schools bring their students on field trips to pick a pumpkin.

The hay ride and maze will be on through October.
