Officers prepare to shave their heads

In return for a donation, Oxnard police officers will shave their heads in support of a colleague Wednesday morning.

The department’s records supervisor, Margaret Tobin, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is undergoing treatments to fight the deadly disease that affects hundreds of thousands of people every year.

Several officers offered to shave their heads if their units could raise $300.

All donations go to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Contact Senior Officer Maria Pea at (805)385-7750 or maria.pena@oxnardpd.org, if you would like to help or donate.
