Healthy Now, UCSB Guard May Leave Opponents Green With Envy
The Gauchos are a year older and wiser than the team that finished 11-20 last year. And hopefully healthier as well.UCSB should get a big lift from 6’5 guard John Green who is back after missing the past two seasons due to foot injuries. Green is a highly skilled offensive player.
Santa Barbara is expecting to contend for a Big West Conference title withmost of their starters back from last year’s squad that was one of the youngest in the nation.
Junior Alan Williams should be in the runningfor Player of the Year honors as he averaged a double-double last year.
Kyle Boswell, Michael Bryson and Taran Brown also return to give UCSB a strong nucleus.
But getting Green back could be the key as he has first-team all-league talent.
