Goleta hotel project goes before city leaders

Goleta could finally see a new hotel soon on a vacant site that’s been earmarked for the project for about five years.

Tuesday night the city council will take a close look at the latest design for the Rincon Palms hotel planned for the corner of Hollister Ave. at Storke Rd.

It calls for 149 rooms on three acres.

The hotel would stand four stories tall and mountain views are a concern the city leaders will be discussing.

Designs for this site date back to 2008.
