Vacant commercial building fire in Ventura under investigation

VENTURA, Calif. - A fire in Ventura is under investigation after flames damaged a vacant commercial building Thursday morning.

The fire was reported around 2:07 a.m. in a building on the 1700 block of Callens Road. Ventura City Fire responded and found the vacant building engulfed in flames. Fire officials are calling it suspicious in nature and the cause is under investigation.

There were no injuries.
