Royal Analyst Richard Mineards talks about new baby

Royal Family analyst and Montecito Journal columnist Richard Mineards enthusiastically sees a bright future for the new royal baby.

As bells rang in London, the world celebrated the birth of a boy to William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

“Oh I think they will be great parents,” said Mineards. “The Royal Family is probably at the peak of its popularity now. Kate has been brought up in a very loving family on a very different social level. And of course William was brought up by Princess Diana who was not the royal mold. She wasn’t stuffy.”

The timing for the baby, two years after the royal wedding, was calculated. “They didn’t want a baby overshadowing the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. William really respects his grandmother,” said Mineards. “If it were a P.R. and promotional exercise it couldn’t work out better.”

Now, Mineards says the gifts will be coming in from around the world. “Everybody will be sending presents galore. There will be a tsunami of teddy bears. Everyone will want to give them things for the baby.”

Ahead, the world awaits the baby’s name and more.

“It’s all tradition, tradition, and tradition,” said Mineards about the upcoming events.
