Touring & Tasting Magazine partners with wine mogul Bill Foley
One of the top owners of California and New Zealand wineries, Bill Foley, has acquired the controlling interest of Touring &Tasting Magazine.
The magazine was founded in 1995 by partners Dan Fox and Paul Arganbright, both based in Santa Barbara.
Foley said he is, “fully committed to the growth and success of wine tourism globally. Partnering with Touring & Tasting will help us continue to help fuel that growth.”
Over 100,000 copies are distributed each year to consumers, hotels, wedding planners, and wine buyers.
Fox says the magazine is planning to grow with the new relationship with Foley. “We’re simply combining our tools and resources with Foley Family Wines to enhance our position as the leading marketing and media company in the wine tourism industry.”
The magazine plans to expand its reach with more partnerships, mobile apps and digital editions.
Foley has been growing his wine interests significantly in recent years. It includes Foley Estates, Lincourt Vineyards and Firestone Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley along with Chalk Hill, Sebastiani, and Merus Kuleto in Northern California. Foley’s reach has also gone into New Zealand with the purchases of Clifford Bay and Vavasour wineries.
