Frandsen fondly remembers Santa Barbara days

Kevin Frandsen is one of many former Santa Barbara Foresters that have made their way to Major League Baseball. He played two summers in Santa Barbara and was MVP of the team back in 2003. Frandsen was inducted into the Foresters Hall of Fame in 2011.

The Philadelphia Phillies reserve infielder will always have a special bond with the Foresters. During his time in Santa Barbara, Kevin and his brother DJ became very close to former Foresters player and coach Eric Pintard. DJ and Eric were both battling cancer. They both loved baseball and the number 19. Both passed away in 2004 but their legacy lives on through their foundations. The Foresters have the Hugs for Cubs program while the Frandsen’s started 19 For Life.
