CHP inspection targets big rigs

The California Highway Patrol set up a big rig inspection checkpoint at the base of Highway 154. Trucks were given a close up look from bumper to bumper to make sure they were safe.

Those that passed the inspection were given a special window decal.

CHP officer Wayne Villard said today he found very few problems, but yesterday he found a truck out of compliance and took it off the road.

This was one of many routine checkpoints set up on San Marcos Pass and Highway 101 every week.
