Supervisor proposes porn condom law

A Ventura County supervisor has been receiving complaints about adult films being shot in the unincorporated areas she represents. Supervisor Linda Parks believes porn producers are trying to get permits to shoot adult films in areas that don’t have condom laws.

Los Angeles and Simi Valley recently passed laws requiring adult film stars to practice safe sex by using condoms and other safety measures.

Parks said Ventura County’s unincorporated areas don’t have a condom law. She proposed passing one at Tuesday’s board meeting in Ventura.

The Thousand Oaks resident said people have been passing out flyers, in her district, inquiring about homes they can lease for filming.

Parks said she hopes the Ventura County Board of Supervisors will pass a condom law by the end of this month.

Camarillo is also looking into a condom law. After producers inquired about permits in Camarillo, Camarillo City Council members called for a moratorium on permits.
