Former porn star still getting teacher salary

A former porn star, who lost her fight to keep her Oxnard teaching job, is still getting paid.

Stacie Halas has been on paid administrative leave since last winter.

That’s when boys at Haydock Intermediate School discovered their teacher starring in X-rated movies online.

This month, a state administrative law judge upheld the Oxnard School District’s decision to fire Halas for repeatedly lying about her past.

The ruling doesn’t stop Halas from getting paid or appealing her case.

Oxnard School Board Member Denis O’Leary said, “We will be paying the young lady for 30 days after the decision. So she will be paid until February, 13th of the month, per the recommendation from our legal counsel and state law that does suggest we do that.”

Halas made about $79,000 a year as an eighth-grade science teacher.

According to the testimony from her hearing, Halas will make more on paid leave than she ever made during her porn career.
