Brownley Sworn In

It’s official, Julia Brownley is now representing the new 26th District in Congress.The Democrat was sworn in during a ceremony in Washington D.C. Today.She now represents most of Ventura County.Brownley was elected November sixth in a tough race against Republican Tony Strickland.By phone she described the day as thrilling, joyful and busy.Family and friends, including a daughter, visiting from Belgium , watched her take the oath.Then they all posed for pictures with House Speaker John Boehner and Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi.
