Saint Joseph High School Principal Resigns
The man who failed to report an alleged sex abuse scandal at Saint Joseph High School is calling it quits. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles sent a letter out yesterday saying, Saint Joseph High School principal Joe Myers has resigned. Myers and former Dean of Students John Walker were convicted earlier this month of a misdemeanor charge of failing to report an alleged sexual assault. Under state law both men are considered mandatory reporters, meaning the must report the crime to local law enforcement. Myers and Walker both face a maximum sentence of six months in county jail and a one-thousand-dollar fine. Sentencing is scheduled for October 30th.
