Election Offices Open Late For You to Register
Today is the last day to register to vote for the June 5 primary election, and election offices are staying open until 8 p.m. to help those who still need to fill out their paperwork.Santa Barbara County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor Joe Holland says there are 187,800 registered voters right now, in the county. He says 107,000 have requested a “vote by mail” ballot.Complete list of Santa Barbara County Elections OfficesOf those about nine percent have already turned their ballots in.For those who are unregistered, have moved, changed their party preference, or changed their name since the last time they voted, they must have their new or updated voter registration forms post marked today or turned at the county of an election office by 8 p.m.The June 5 ballot includes the presidential primary, and races for Senate, Assembly, seats on the County Board of Supervisors and some statewide measures.
