Students Prepare for Great California Shakeout

The Santa Barbara School District is preparing for this year’s Great California Shakeout.Students and teachers will drop, cover, and hold on Thursday at 10:18 a.m., along with millions of people across the state.The purpose is to prepare for a damaging earthquake.The annual Great Shakeout Earthquake Drill is in its fifth year.More than 5.3 million people already registered to participate in this year’s event.If you’d like to learn more, you can go to: www.shakeout.org/california
