F.B.I. Dive Team At Shoreline Park

SANTA BARBARA – KEY News has learned an FBI Dive Team is setup at Shoreline Park to assist Santa Barbara Police with an evidence search. They have taped off a large area of the park and brought in what appears to be a forensics van.FBI officials will not say what they are looking for or what case they are working on, however this is the same area where the body of 60- year old Christopher Marks was discovered on the morning of September 21st. Agents will only say that they are offering resources to Santa Barbara police detectives.SBPD investigators scoured the beach below Shoreline Park last week at and around the spot where Mark’s body was discovered. Police say they were unable to rule out foul play after seeing the coroner’s report. More than 20 officers and detectives with heavy machinery dug up sections of the beach and sifted through the sand looking for additional evidence. It’s unknown if they found anything.Marks was a resident of Santa Ynez and the owner of Sweeney Canyon Vineyards and an attorney. We will have more on this developing story as we get it throughout the day.Credit: Lara Cooper/Noozhawk
