Asphalt tank fire reported at Greka crude oil processing plant near Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Firefighters responded to an asphalt tank fire that flared up near the Greka crude oil processing plant west of Santa Maria on Tuesday.
Crews received the call around 11:49 a.m. and were dispatched to 1660 Stinton Road.

This is the second fire reported at Greka this week. The first involved a boiler that caught fire at the plant Monday morning.
It is unclear if anyone was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
