Dawn Ortiz-Legg has first meeting with San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - Dawn Ortiz-Legg met for the first time as a member of the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors.
Governor Newsom recently appointed her to the position.
She replaces longtime District 3 Supervisor Adam Hill, who died in August.
She has a long background in public affairs, regulatory compliance and project management.
Ortiz-Legg also served on various local boards, including as a 3rd District Planning Commissioner.
"We have a lot of serious issues in front of the county," Ortiz-Legg said. "So I'm happy to be here to help support my colleagues on the board."
She will serve for two years. The next election for the seat is the 2022 primary.
