| Why are you running for office?: | To bring a new and fresh perspective on how local politics can work. I would like to work toward the City Council being more accountable and efficient and more effective in their governing. Making policies and projects more transparent for the citizens of Buellton |
| What makes you qualified for the job?: | I have been a brand manager for over 25 years. Bringing new products to market from concept to reality. I have managed and mentored over 100 amateur and professional athletes. I have also served on the Burgundy Hills HOA board for 16 years. I bring leadership and drive to every position. |
| What are your two main priorities if you win?: | To make sure the City council can work effectively and efficiently as a consortium for the people of Buellton. The role of Mayor, in my opinion, is a non-partisan position. There to help coordinate the City council and move the city's agenda forward as a collective. Making sure the people of Buellton are well informed as to the actions of the council. |
| How will you interact with other governments?: | I will work with other local governments with an open and work with them collectively for what's best for our communities. Bouncing ideas around, see what works for them that could also benefit our community. |
| What are your plans to help overcome COVID-19?: | Working with State and local health officials keeping the people of Buellton informed. Informing them of the stages and precautions needed to "open" back up safely. Remind the people that following these precautions will only speed up our road to recovery as a community and have a better sense of normalcy. |
| Which two issues are most important to you?: | Making sure the City council has the best interest of the people of Buellton. Reviewing city contracts like trash, recycling and waste water management to see if we can do better environmentally as well as fiscally for the city. Work with the planning commission to better manage the growth of the city. See how we can work with local developers and contractors who know the value of our small community. Another concern I have is the lack of activities for not only the youth but the adults in the community. Live Oak lanes is a good example at how the City has made it very difficult for this project to come to life. |
