Police arrest two juvenile burglars at Ventura High School

Ventura police arrested two juvenile suspects involved in a commercial burglary in Ventura on Wednesday early morning.

The Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call of a possible commercial burglary in progress at Ventura High School on the 100 block of North Catalina Street.

A witness saw two suspects exiting the administrative office of the school.

Officers responded to the scene within minutes and detained two juvenile suspects attempting to leave the area.

The two suspects were identified by the witness and were in possession of stolen property from the school.

SCU detectives and CSI responded to the location and found evidence that showed both suspects used force and gained entry to the school by smashing the office window with a brick.

While inside the building the young suspects damaged walls, desks and pried open cabinets.

The 17-year-old males were both arrested for commercial burglary and vandalism.
