Marijuana bales discovered inside beached drug smuggling boat
A pot-filled fishing boat was discovered early Saturday morning along the Ventua County coast.
Narcotics detectives found it beached near Deer Creek Rd. and Pacific Coast Highway, north of Malibu.
They believe the 35-foot boat is linked to Mexican drug smugglers.
They found it filled with 41 plastic-wrapped bales of marijuana.
Containers filled with 605 gallons of gasoline were found nearby.
No arrests were made.
