Vehicle rolled five times blocking both lanes on Highway 101

NIPOMO, Calif. - California Highway Patrol reported a vehicle that rolled over five times on the U.S. 101 Southbound on Sunday.

The incident happened around 5:20 p.m. just south of the Tefft Street offramp in Nipomo.

There was only one person in the silver sportscar during the crash. They were out of the vehicle by 5:26 p.m and only sustained minor injuries.

CHP said both lanes of the Highway 101 Southbound are currently closed. There is about 200 feet of debris in one of the lanes which has yet to be cleared.

CAL FIRE SLO reminded drivers in a tweet to slow down during the wet weather and leave more distance between your car and others on the road.
