Person sustains major injury from car crash in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. - California Highway Patrol and Ventura County Fire responded to an overturned vehicle on State Route 33 in Ventura Sunday afternoon leaving at least one person with serious injuries.

The incident was recorded around 4:15 p.m. near Canada Larga Road on the southbound State Route 33.

The CHP website says that the vehicle was tailgating another vehicle and flashing their high beams prior to the crash.

The vehicle was described as being on its side 15 feet off the roadway through a fence. There were no other cars involved.

One person involved in the crash sustained a head injury and another person was injured. CHP said both parties were transported to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.

CHP listed this as a major injury accident. We do not know the victims' current conditions.
