Teenager arrested in connection to attempted murder in gang-related shooting in Lompoc

Lompoc police have made an arrest in connection to a suspected gang-related shooting in late April.

A 17-year-old has been identified as a suspect in the shooting of a documented street gang member in Lompoc.

The victim arrived at the Lompoc Valley Medical Center Emergency Room seeking treatment for a single gunshot wound on April 26.

He told authorities that he had been shot while walking his dog, but would not give any other information.

The teenager is also a documented street member according to police.

He could face charges of attempted murder and gang enhancement.

This case is currently under investigation.
