Free skin cancer screenings to be held in San Luis Obispo

The Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center will host free cancer screenings in May.

The center wants to spread the word about the importance of checking your skin regularly. One in five Americans will be diagnosed with skin cancer in their lifetime, but if caught early, it is highly treatable. Educating yourself on the prevention of skin cancer and skin screenings are key.

The complimentary skin screenings will take place on Monday, May 6, Thursday, May 9 and Wednesday, May 29 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m each day.

The screenings will be conducted at the Sierra Vista Auditorium located at 1010 Murray Avenue in San Luis Obispo.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling 805-710-3954.
