UCSB pulls away in second half in win over Idaho State
Trailing by one at halftime, UCSB came out with a much stronger effort in the second stanza.
Ar’Mond Davis led the team with 19 points and Devearl Ramsey had 18 as the Gauchos pulled away late to beat Idaho State 84-65.
UCSB was able to bounce back from a disappointing 85-74 road loss to Omaha this week. The Gauchos remain a perfect 5-0 at home.
Amadou Sow, Jarriesse Blackmon and Sekou Toure had 10 points each for UCSB (9-3). Max Heidegger added six points, eight assists and five rebounds.
The Gauchos used an 18-4 run in the second half to take control and outscored the Bengals 47-27 in the second half.
Chier Maker scored 12 points for Idaho State (4-5), which lost its second straight game.
UCSB plays its next game next Saturday night at home against San Francisco.
