Fatal motorcycle crash shuts down all lanes of HWY 101 near Camarillo

CAMARILLO, Calif. - Both north and southbound lanes of the 101 freeway were blocked in Camarillo after a fatal crash Sunday evening.

The crash happened around 4:11 p.m. on the southbound side just north of Camarillo Springs Road.

California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle collided with the center divider of the freeway.

A full freeway closure began being set up around 4:48 p.m.

It is unclear when the freeway will be reopened.

The identity of the victim has also not been released.

The crash is being investigated by CHP.
