Fire crews containing Green Fire in Cambria
CAMBRIA, Calif. — According to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department a vegetation fire near the 6000 block of Highway 46 east of Cambria began Friday afternoon.
The fire was first spotted on the eastbound side of Highway 46 at about 12:30 p.m., says the California Highway Patrol.
According to Cal Fire SLO County, the "Green Fire" burned approximately burned 243 acres.
An update was also given on containment levels of the fire, which currently stand at 75% containment.

SLO County fire crews responsed to the fire by immediately sending fire equipment to the scene of the fire.
San Luis Obispo County Office of Emergency Services issued an evacuation warning for Cambria and the rural areas east of Harmony (Zone SLC-E111) due to the fire. At around 6:44 p.m., the evacuation warning was cancelled.

As crews continue to contain the fire and work near the area, CHP and SLO County OES asks residents to remain aware and drive carefully.
Cal Fire SLO say the fire remains under investigation.
